I really like the advice you give on how to feel less like a victim of your environment. We do have to be careful when asserting the work ethic fuels passion and not the other way around.

Passion is sparked by experimenting with various jobs and roles and eventually finding the one that touches your heartstrings and resonates with your purpose in life. Applying work ethic and effort to a job that is misaligned with your purpose and values will only serve to frustrate and demotivate you more. It will sink your energies. And if that happens then advice #2 is completely applicable.

I agree, leaders need to admit when they made a mistake in order to overcome the issue. Good point.

Beautifully said! The Radical Leap taught me so much that is now applied daily to my personal life and my career as an educator. I wish I had read the book in college so that I would have been prepared to come into the classroom with the Leap mentality. I am forever grateful for the insight that Mr. Farber has given me through his words so that I can reflect and improve upon my relationships and instruction that I provide on a day to day basis. Thank you to Mr. Pinter for showing me that I am, indeed, an extreme leader!

This is great and in step with your previous leadership books. Education and it's roots protected by unions and infiltrated by politicians is a different animal. We need change.

Greg,
L.e.a.p. is what educators have done for years. It's time to shout it, proclaim it and implement it every where we can! :-)

There are many educational stakeholders that come from many divergent perspectives, perhaps what we need to do is meet each other mid-way. Oh that's right we are meeting at the Midway! Well, it is about time!

I am reminded of a question that I heard once "Which comes first clarity or commitment?" The answer clarity only comes after commitment.

Today, I love skiing. The first day on the ski slopes, I did not enjoy skiing. Nothing worked, my body hurt and I was constantly frustrated. Day 2 wasn't much better. It was day 5 or 6 that I first felt that there was progress and I was beginning to be a real skiier.

Same in work, same in playing the piano...

I wish Eric luck in his mission!
