In Greater Than Yourself, I made a commitment to document the story of my GTY Project, Tommy Spaulding, which I have done in video (there are transcripts as well) over at GreaterThanYourself.com.
In the book, I also suggested that others should do something similar with their own Projects. My hope was that at least a few folks would be brave enough to publicly tell about their GTY experiences–the highs and the lows–so we could all learn and benefit from one another’s successes and failures.
Well, many people have taken on Projects of their own, and/or are in various stages of beginning them. But at least one is taking us all along on her journey.
Patti Dragland is documenting her work with Angela Simms in a great little blog called MyGtyProject.com. Please go on over, take a look, and cheer her on.
I’m looking forward to seeing yours soon, too.
Hint hint.
YAY!! It is very exciting that you have included us in your blog. Thanks so much. I will be sure to post an update from our meeting this weekend.

Hi Mr Farber,
I saw you on Lets Talk and immediately call my friend/coworker to whom i am sort of a mentor. I see in him myself 17 years ago and decided to be that person who i wished i had to encourage me. He’s currently in school for healthcare and at my suggestion he’s seriously contemplating med school. No one in his life has ever encouraged him to reach far until now. He’s constantly amazed by my insight but i modestly inform him that it’s just from my experiences that i’m willing to pass on. I know certain things in life has to be experienced for one to learn but how great is it to confer with someone who has been there and done that.
Thanks.
