Well…it’s finally here. The publication date for Greater Than Yourself (Tuesday).
I’m thrilled, of course, but also anxious to see how the book’s received. (Releasing a book is a major OS!M).
GreaterThanYourself.com just went live this morning, and I think we’ve built something very rich and provocative. Please go on over and spend some time watching the videos (it would take you over an hour to watch all of them, but we’ve put them in bite-sized bits). I hope you find them to be both educational and inspiring.
There’s a lot to digest over there, but once you’ve done that, please come on back to this blog and comment on your thoughts and reactions.
We’re gonna have a lot to talk about.
I was at Barnes and Noble yesterday and your enormously and inspiring book, Greater than Yourself literally threw itself into my arms. Less than 24 hours later I have gobbled up yourbook (couln’t put it down)and joyfully commit to join your change the world movement!! If you are up for anotehr GTY projects … where do I sign? I will tell absolutely everybody about this gem. Thanks Steve Farber, for sharing so much of who you wonderfully are and inspiring greatness in all!!!!

Hey Steve! Thanks for the shout out in your book. I was so honored to see my name mentioned there. Mike Sansone showed me his copy today and I can’t wait to get to the bookstore tomorrow to get my own copy!
Congratulations! Ciao!

Steve,
Having read both of your previous books, I waited with great anticipation for Greater Than Yourself. My copy arrived in the mail last week while I was out of town so I had to wait (impatiently) to read it upon my return.
This weekend I devoured every delicious word.
I love the snappy prose of your writing as well as your character development, but what I love most is your message delivered through a well crafted story.
GTY is a winner!
This is a concept that most of know about at some level, but rarely practice. In GTY you have laid out a blueprint that can indeed transform people’s lives, not merely their workplaces.
I have been blessed to be the recipient of a GTY project for several years (without knowing it) and it changed the course of my life.
As I read GTY I was thinking about how lucky Tommy Spaulding is to have the chance to be your GTY project, but by reading GTY – we are all a part of your GTY family and one of your project’s in a way..
Today, I am meeting with my new GTY project – John, and will begin to work with him using the principals that have been laid out in the book.
I also have other ideas for expanding this important initiative of personal philanthropy to my Native American brothers and sisters who desperately need just such a movement and then to the urban schools (children and teachers) that i work with.
There is so much to be done.
Thanks for sharing!!
Oh…just one more thing. I need something else to look forward to so, Steve start writing. I’ve already reserved a space on my bookshelf for your next creation. As a certified Farber Fanatic I can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with next.
Blesssings!
