Ron Shwechuk over at the For Your Approval blog has an excellent post about the revised vision statement at NASA and how it’s effecting the scientists and engineers who work there.
It’s a cautionary tale for the rest of us; be sure to check it out.

Not surprised at all! If you really want to get “pissed off” (and every one of us should be mad as hell!); go see Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth”. This administration’s spin the environment and global warming in particular, may very well be our ‘final spin’. That is unless the intelligent people of this country who still value the future, and the truth, and understand the facts as stated by the scientists of the world get INVOLVED. We have to get off our collective butts and get our politicians off of their collective butts to change the way we look at and take action to reverse global warming now. Sound a little harsh, a little reactionary? Do a little research, see the movie, and you too will understand that we much more to fear than what we see on the television, then let me know what you think. Every one of us must find a way to become an extreme leader if we are not only going to change our world, but in order to save our world. I’ll leave you with this thought, this challenge…
“In the course of history, there comes a time when humanity is called to shift to a new level of consciousness, to reach a higher moral ground. A time when we have to shed our fear and give hope to each other. That time is now.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee has challenged the world to broaden the understanding of peace: there can be no peace without equitable development; and there can be no development without sustainable management of the environment in a democratic and peaceful space. This shift is an idea whose time has come.”
