“It’s one thing to become involved in the business world; yet, it’s a completely different level to start a thriving business in a country that lacks the financial assets and resources. To be innovative is to allow yourself to expose your mind to something amazing that has potential to change the world.” –Jessica Steinberg, Founder, Giveable Giggles, reflecting on her current experience in Argentina
Jessica Steinberg is a fireball of energy–an Extreme Leader with an audacious vision and the heart to carry it out, and that’s why I’ve asked her to speak at The Extreme Leadership Summit. Not only because she has a lot to teach us about what it means to be a leader of substance and significance–after all, that’s true of our other Summit speakers, too–but because Jessica’s example is also extraordinary for another reason:
She’s just finished her junior year of high school.
Yep.
Jessica Steinberg, founder of her own international non-profit, world traveler, global citizen, co-founder of Y-SEN (a social entrepreneurs network), member of the National Association of Professional Women, and a winner of Rotary‘s Service Above Self award, is 17 years old.
(What were YOU doing at 17?)
Jessica’s vision is to let every child have the chance to laugh, play games, and enjoy life with no stress or worry. Through her organization, Giveable Giggles, she brings happiness, peace and laughter to kids in need–from sick kids to homeless kids to stressed kids–in some of the most challenged places on the planet. Her aim is to encourage and educate more children and teens to get involved in their community, locally and globally, so they can begin their journey to change the world for the better.
I highly recommend that you spend some time following Jessica’s adventures on her blog. You’ll find that she’s as articulate as she is inspiring.
It’s leaders like Jessica that give me great hope for the future.
Now all we need are a few more adults like her.
Agreed?
WOW!!! You are TOTALLY AWESOME!! ..What INSPIRATION you are!!!!!
Shown the fruit of Capitalism. The story of taking a basket of bread and fish and feeding the masses, with leftovers.
I have been given that knowledge. God works within natural laws and what we don’t know, we call it the M word.
I have now developed a business model with help from God. I have the knowledge to take a dollar(million) and give that dollar(million) to all, over One’s life. To make the financed payments, for an individual, business, or organization. To Co-sign a finance purchase for the poor, a business, or anyone and make their payments for them.
To help charities, I can take a single amount(5MM) and fund all charities up to 500K a year. Yes, all charities.
I do need help, too help. For those that really want to help others and our economy, please contact.
